I cannot for the life of me understand why this has a reputation as being lesser Fugazi. Total masterpiece with a huge emotional and sonic impact. 1998 was a weird year.

I never really listened to Fugazi’s “End Hits” because it came out at a time when I was totally checked out of rock music but I gotta tell ya, it’s really fuckin good!

World premiere at Donaueschingen Musiktage in just a few weeks. Can't wait to be at both of these festivals!

the thing about this piece - and why I'm bringing it back - is that when I wrote it at UCSD in 2003 I could see other composers openly laughing at me during the performance and fortunately I had the confidence to think "you guys are idiots" and not "I guess I should quit composing"

I'm inputting a piece into my notation software from paper score I wrote 25 years ago in grad school to arrange it into a new piece for andPlay and as you can see my work has changed a lot in a quarter century
