I bought my first e-reader and started my 5th book The Amalfi Curse by Sarah Penner. I loved The Lost Apothecary so I was very excited to read about sea witches but this story fell flat for me.

Book #3 was the audiobook for The Stranger in the Woods by Michael Finkel and book #4 was an absolute favorite Weyward by Emilia Hart. It was everything I want in a book: womenβs stories (written by women), historical fiction, witches, nature, men getting what they deserve. 5βοΈ

I set a reading goal of 25 books this year and have already finished 9. Book #1 was the audiobook for Clear by Carys Davies which was a lovely little start to the year. Book #2 was Pet by akwaeke emezi. I love the stories that come out of their mind.

Jackie, the Bald Eagle mother, feeds her three new babies in their nest. The edges of the nest are covered in snow and fish pieces.
