Minneapolis allocates additional $1 million for rental assistance The City of Minneapolis will allocate $1 million in funds for emergency rental assistance, as families impacted by the ongoing federal immigration operation seek help paying bills.

Today I led the City Council to allocate $1 million to provide emergency rent assistance to families facing eviction due to ICE’s ongoing occupation. This action was in response to Gov Walz failure to enact an eviction moratorium, leaving thousands of renters across Mpls vulnerable to eviction.

I have found most coverage of my works often tokenizing--we didn't do an all-white list, here's Megan and another writer of color look at the cover! look at the marketing copy!--but the books section of the post treated me with respect and rigor, the things that matter most to me as a writer
