The Democratic Party, if we want to defeat MAGA, must be big enough to include liberal and moderate voices. We should be able to debate the issues and decide by voting, and not by labelling each other as too liberal or conservative.

We need to find solutions. Republicans want to write them off, and say tough shit if they can’t earn enough to survive. We need to reward work, provide income support. Laissez faire economics won’t work, and it’ll just get worse without intervention.

Our economy is not working for a large percentage of Americans. Brookings found that 44% of Americans ages 18 to 64 earn low wages. Wages so low that they can’t afford to buy a house, they’re one illness or accident away from bankruptcy. Many of them receive SNAP benefits.

O Canada just brought a tear to this old US veteran’s eyes. I hope that they never have to experience anything like our MAGA insanity.
