I agree. But i dont think the image conveys the danger. It looks like a bad rash rather than death, sterility, etc, etc. A baby's coffin would be more appropriate

Have some respect. His name was Grandpa Joe

Your book is much older than my nuns but in those older time periods, many female Catholic saints are aristocratic women who fought like hell to avoid marriage (and the death sentence of childbirth)

I am Catholic and went to Catholic school (as did my mom) so I just saw it. The nuns had freedom and experiences that many/most women born in the 1920s/30s/40s either never had or found cut off by marriage and children.

I always love to see more NYU Law alums joining academia. Go Violets!

It's a time-honored tradition. Being a nun meant escaping what it means to be a woman (social, not chromosomal/biological) - childrearing, husband dealing, homebound. That anyone could promote nuns as escape today speaks to where we are on sex roles

It's a classic sneaking microwave popcorn from home into the movie theater look

Congrats! It's a fantastic faculty!

CALLOUT: I am looking to interview individuals who have sought health care at crisis pregnancy centers, whether intentionally or unintentionally, and want to talk about their experience. The center can be located anywhere. If you or someone you know might be interested, please email or send me a DM.

No, I mean they were formative to my youth

We always state the grading criteria in advance. Professors are dedicated to having students learn. The more learning the better. And we like them, our students are sparkling

The only defense is offense. The only way to fight this fire is with solidarity. Unmitigated principled stances. Without compromise

Look, there is no way to avoid TPUSA. You can give trolls a C-, B, B+. It won't matter. They can even get an A overall but if you give the feedback the very constructive OU instructor did, you're on the list. The assignment could be 2% of the grade (it might be in that class!). There is no defense.

01.12.2025 02:13 β€” πŸ‘ 1128    πŸ” 166    πŸ’¬ 15    πŸ“Œ 16

Exactly, there is no defensive posture against this campaign

01.12.2025 01:45 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

But you can. Because these folks are trolls and it wouldn't matter if they were auditing the class, taking it P/F, or clocking an assignment worth 2% of the grade

01.12.2025 01:44 β€” πŸ‘ 3    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I just think that any student motivated to send their piss poor essay to TPUSA will do so even if it's 5 points out of 1000

01.12.2025 01:43 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I just don't think any review board looks at individual assignments, usually. Usually, students throw up a stink at the overall grade. This is one assignment of presumably many....Admittedly, in law school, we benefit from having a single exam for many courses

01.12.2025 01:42 β€” πŸ‘ 4    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

I would have no problem chanting that

01.12.2025 01:29 β€” πŸ‘ 3    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

It is a bad slogan. For sure. Even fuck em up fuck em up BC sucks would be better (that's BU's slogan). We might want to tweak it but still mostly better

01.12.2025 01:24 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I say this mostly because I have decided bravery is a high bar. Most of us dont want to have courage. But many of us can keep on keepin on, drag our feet, draw lines, say fuck no, and we will

01.12.2025 01:22 β€” πŸ‘ 17    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Lol, i had never seen this til your post. As a reasonably informed person, i have no idea what that slogan means

01.12.2025 01:17 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

If you don't like television that is excellent, then yes

01.12.2025 01:13 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I don't know that that makes the difference. Not clear what that means on a 25 point assignment (out of how many for the term?). I am guessing this student was cruising for a C- overall. And so I don't think we avoid this

01.12.2025 01:12 β€” πŸ‘ 6    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I would apologize for yelling but honestly i am just jealous of anyone who would get to watch it for the first time

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS is literally one of the best shows ever. A delight.

I dont even understand this question. First of all, Friday Night Lights. Second of all, just so gorgeous. Also apparently packs two extremely fashionable coats into a single roller board bag. Queen shit
