He/Him/They - Slava Ukraini πΊπ¦ GM, Weegie, AuDHD Nightmare, and grumpy leftie. No I haven't done the reading, just think greed is abhorrent. Age: My Knees Hurt. I don't do FfF, stop asking. Will go through TERFs likes to mass report the feckers.

Weird.
Why is my entire app in what appears to be Dutch?
08.10.2025 11:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0An idea I've been touting for years - take all the fascists, with the promise of love and support and help, and send them to Mars.
Then forget about them.
"When you tell people what I did, it risks me getting punched in the face." isn't the win he thinks it is.
30.09.2025 20:28 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0People love to win, doubly so the tribalistic sort that make up the bulk of the far right - a couple of good kickings in the general and council elections, and both parties will go the way of the BNP.
Hopefully SYL and others like him will pull in different directions, and contribute to that.
That willingness to cooperate with people who were pushing in the right direction regardless of motive is what allowed them to present a unified front that voters could get behind.
We need to do the same.
The right gained it's momentum from the shift from Catholic, Protestant and Methodist voting blocks becoming Christian voting blocks, which in turn invited in other faiths with aligned goals under the banner of small c conservatism.
They accepted anyone that would push in the right direction.
This is a point that I've been pushing in conversations around Your Party - The right gained it's power by amalgamation and subsumption - Basically, ganging up. Also called, cooperating.
On the left we have a nasty habit of eating our own & shunning people not quite as left as us - we need to not.
Reform wanted to be the banner that gathers all racists after the Conservatives fell apart. The decision to exclude Stephen Yaxley-Lennon (Tommy Robinson) to appease the polite racists never sat well with the feral racists, and now here we are.
Finally, SYL does something that benefits the UK.
Tonight's dog walk wildlife was a rat about the size of my forearm.
36kg of dog was DEEPLY perturbed.
Rat was unbothered.
I was expecting the Reichstag Fire parallel to be made, but I did not expect it to come from the right.

Well, it's a change of pace from them arguing to preserve the statues of traitors and bigots - now they want to put up new ones.

Maybe that's the change in narrative we need?
The greatest generation did it, why can't you?
When people say "if you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear." the correct response is:
"I need privacy, not because my actions are questionable, but because your judgement and intentions are."
So, after a little quick math, a full size lego deathstar (OG, V1) would be... 250m across. (Assuming ~3m per floor, converted to 6cm (assuming a figure is 2m tall) from the original 120km diameter...)
Which is surprisingly doable...
Saturation is a thing, & band-wagoning has always been a problem.
I think we've been complaining about derivative crap longer than I've been alive.
I know we say there is nothing new under the sun, & maybe it's just me getting older, but it really does feel like original content is getting rare...

My favourite thing with crap like this is to listen to the accents - most will have been bussed in.
In the case of the anti-choice protests in Glasgow, there were a statistically improbable number of people with American accents.
New mantra.

A Β£6bn public broadcaster selling out a tiny investigative newsletter. Nice. π
My overwhelming memory of Forbes was her being anti-trans and anti-choice during the leadership race - Something that cost the SNP my membership. I still won't be back for the foreseeable, but her departure is a move in the right direction for the party as a whole.
