Also, I’ve said this a million times for years:

It’s completely insane that it is legal for flight attendants to be required to perform hours and hours of work without pay!

This dispute could be ended if the feds just legislated that all required work must be paid. Jeez.

HALIFAX: if you live near Bayers Lake and/or Susies Lake area, pack a go bag NOW. If you have pets, this includes all of their medical records, food, medicines (if applicable), water, and bedding. You need your own medication, passports, important irreplaceable paperwork, clothes for at least 7 days

Not buying US made / grown goods may not be an effective protest.

War crime. When and where will Netanyahu be arrested? When will spineless western leaders condemn this? Stop arming war criminals? Stop the genocide?

This plan includes only one public transit project that it proposes to complete in the NEXT TEN YEARS.

It's rural transit.

That's it. That's the only public transit priority.

15-25 years to build four limited-stop bus routes with some modest TPMs.

in 2020, Halifax Transit tabled a Bus Rapid Transit plan, with a plan to build it in 5-10 years.

The Province dragged its feet for five year and nothing got done.

Now the Province has copy & pasted Halifax transit's plan, and says it will take 10-20 years to build.

Anas Al-Sharif has been posting all night whilst under intense Israeli bombardment.

His final post was just 20 minutes ago. It reads:

β€œRelentless bombardment…
For two hours, the Israeli aggression has intensified on Gaza City.”

BREAKING: One of the most important and prominent reporters on the ground in Gaza has been Anas Al Sharif.

He - and several other Al Jazeera journalists - have just been assassinated by Israelis forces whilst in their press tent in central Gaza.

Speechless.

"In stark contrast to the aspirations of a more prosperous, productive Canada, governments at all levels have abandoned the post-secondary sector to shuttered programs. Highly qualified personnel are being displaced at an unprecedented rate."

Air Canada flight attendants vote to strike if necessary to end unpaid work and poverty wages The Air Canada Component of CUPE, the union representing over 10,000 flight attendants at Air Canada and Air Canada Rouge, says its members have voted 99.7% in favour of strike action, if necessary.

99.7%!! That’s what solidarity looks like. Air Canada flight attendants are demanding real negotiations. Not stalling tactics. They’re ready to end unpaid work and poverty wages. Flight attendants deserve respect and fair pay. Share to show your support. #unpaidworkwontfly cupe.ca/air-canada-f...

"We're too busy to do the work to avoid a strike" sure is a statement from a university. It drives me up the wall that so many university boards view the faculty as some weird add-on rather than vital to the work of the university.
