I read that, it's awful and that's why I have fought so hard for my son, and to try to understand what was behind his behaviour. There is still not enough support, or access to safe special schools such as the one my son boarded at. These children deserve more.

I dispare that such a situation exists in 2024. I'm mother to an Autistic son and fought for him to have the appropriate education, it took a legal battle and involving our then MP. That was in the 1980's
