If we gave the Government the benefit of the doubt that this delayed access to relevant information was coincidental rather than deliberate, it still has lessons for the need to bring actual evidence to bear on decision-making that impacts powerfully on Disabled people's lives.

This is the consequence of institutionalised discrimination & deliberate stigma & hate speech by successive govts & media, normalising hate towards disabled ppl. Equality act is ineffective.

Many of us knew if labour & their dog whistle politics of 'working families' got into power that disabled people would be thrown under the bus, but the speed & scope of all this is terrifying.

The motability/ tax checking website was a tipping point for me. I am scared once more to go out alone.
