Luke stood with campaigners from the Poppleton Traffic Action Group and core boards which say " We support 20mph, safer roads in York's villages'
β οΈI met the Poppleton Traffic Action Group in May and have supported their petition and efforts towards safer streets.
I'll continue to work closely with Cllr Kate Ravilious on this issue and take feedback from constituents to help ensure we have safe streets for all.

Standing Up For Constituents
A constituent contacted me about a loose drain cover in Huntington which was making a loud nose every time vehicles drove over it, keeping people up at night.
Following my involvement with Yorkshire Water the repair was carried out and the disruptive noise has finally stopped.

Luke Charters MP, MP for York Outer, who recently visited the hospice, said: "I'm pleased that this Labour Government has allocated over Β£420,000 of important funding to St Leonard's Hospice in my constituency, for capital projects.
"I welcomed St Leonard's being awarded
Β£144,000 back in February from the Government, which will help support their digital ambitions, and in turn give clinical teams more time to care.
"I know first-hand that St Leonard's provides such invaluable support in our community for people with life-limiting conditions and their loved ones, and this Government funding will make a real difference to the fabric of such a wonderful space.
"St Leonard's lovingly cared for my uncle with extraordinary compassion last year in his final weeks, and since becoming the MP, I have visited the wonderful space they have and met with the team who serve families so well across York."
ποΈI spoke to The York Press about the welcome news that St. Leonard's is getting Β£420,000 investment from the Labour Government.
I know this will make a huge different to a place which has such a special place in people heart's across York.

A black graphic with the wording: Today, the Prime Minister made a strong commitment to the recognition of a Palestinian State, which I welcome.
The situation in Gaza is worsening, and on the ground, the scenario of a peaceful two-state solution that guarantees the security of the Palestinian and Israeli people appears less and less likely by the day.
That is why I support the UK recognising a Palestinian State ahead of the United Nations General Assembly in September. and Luke's signature
