Well, one of my characters went rogue on me today and I can’t say I’m mad about it #writerproblems

Anyone else have a weird first draft quirk that is a pain in the neck to clean up when you edit?
Drafting me hates using contractions and I can’t figure out why. 😝

There are days where my brain is all worry because I can’t get the right words out on paper. Even worse when I go into edits.

But I forget: stillness distills story

Here’s to those frustrating no writing days that lead to flashes of plot/character insight. 🤞that I can now get the words out right.

I have 2 scenes left to write and I will be done with the first draft of my WIP. Easy right? Only my brain has decided today is the perfect time to deep clean my fridge. At least my procrastination is some what productive. 🫠

#adulting things I learned today at 6:30 am: Your wired fire alarm sensor has a back up battery. And the damn thing will chirp shriek even if you take dead battery out…. I need more coffee

I love it when you reread the chapter you wrote the day before and are like 🔥🔥🔥

After a two month writing slump I wrote 1200 words today 🎉🎉🎉🎉

They were not kidding about those wind gusts! 🌀😳 #bombcyclone

Taking yet another writing/editing/publishing workshop is a perfectly valid form of procrastination when you have writer’s block 😌
