Pearl the cat back climbing amongst the branches of a Christmas tree

Risking a green tree this year - first time in four years since Pearl basically destroyed our last one.

Text reads, β€œOn Friday, one driver told the BBC his firm would do up to 15 drop-offs daily from a hotel in south east London to a doctors surgery around two miles away. These journeys alone would cost the Home Office Β£1,000 a day, he said.”

Up to 15 2 mile journeys from the hotel to the GP

Saw the news article earlier that stated one company charged Β£1,000 for 15 two mile journeys. That’s Β£67 for a two mile trip - it’s not the passenger that’s the crook in that equation.

One of my most niche complaints about the BBC is what they’ve done to BBC4. Used to feature interesting and informative programmes and now it’s repeats of Open All Hours.

Yeah, but the point is you need to seek it out. The slop that’s published in these papers is picked up and bellowed into people’s homes, workplaces and social feeds.

Aaronson / Piroe are what we have as 10s and they only get used when we're doing the "chuck everyone on and try to save a point" thing.

I think there's an element of risk associated with taking over a team in the relegation zone. Long term plans are probably a luxury to any manager willing to do that.
