I used to make a lot of foods from scratch, but since I’ve been living on my own, it seems far too much effort tbh.

I used to occasionally buy a (mince or steak) pie with cheese, but they always gave me awful indigestion and I think it’s because the cheese just adds too much greasiness, on top of the meat and pastry.

Okay, so I couldn’t have a pie for lunch, but I found a pie for dinner and it hasn’t got any cheese in it😋

I realise this is an unpopular opinion, but not everybody wants cheese in a pie. Mince, steak, steak &mushroom, steak & onion. All good options but, no-EVERY pie left at the bakery now has cheese in it😩
I’ve had a little private tantrum inside my head. I really want a pie. I don’t want cheese in it.

I remember when this happened actually. And I’m afraid to say I’ve seen way worse names than “Talula does the hula from Hawaii” that have somehow been allowed. I mean that name is pathetic, silly, ridiculous, but at least they’re not nasty, or evil words….

I’m pretty sure that for people with uniquely spelt names, their parents would’ve done that no matter how much advice they’d had against it from friends, family & absolutely anyone. They’ve spelt their child’s name in an unusual way to make them “special” , not stopping to think of their future.

I’ve seen some really horrendous names that shouldn’t be allowed but clearly are, or were- I can’t repeat them here because they are or were patients. Some of them will be grown up now, living with their parents’ embarrassing, criminal/evil & occasionally predictive-of-the-child’s-future, choices.

Maybe a friend or family member, no need to pay a stranger.
We all have access to the Internet, so look things up, including pronunciation.
45 years ago my cousin had a baby, called her a name she saw in a book, assumed the pronunciation…Wrong!

But we don’t know the full story.
