Yeah Whales and Dolphins fall in that group of animals where it seems any utility of their captivity for conservation just doesn't work. Rather than entertainment I'd consider the main importance of Zoos and Aquariums to be breeding reservoirs against extinction. But cetaceans don't fit.

Based solely on anecdotal evidence I can testify that a simple N95 does absolute wonders. I'm immunocompromised by a variety of autoimmune diseases and used to spend one a year getting absolutely destroyed one month out of the year. I never got sick during the height of the pandemic.
