This is exactly what I told someone yesterday.

Even if I spot you the first shot (I shouldn’t, but let’s go with that), shots 2 and 3 were inexcusable and this officer will lose his case if it ever goes to court.

Conservatives would be better served by some soul searching and identifying a new leader with a new direction and strategy.

Add to 2) the right wing podcast and social media machine aimed at dude bros in particular

3) Trudeau was scapegoated for all of the challenges of the last decade -- covid & resulting social/economic conflict, etc.

... and still couldn't release a proper platform until AFTER 1/4 of the electorate had already voted 🙄

He's jumping the shark in desperation.

He gets indignant when people say he is MAGA, while he threatens to attack wokeness and DEI in the public service, military and universities.

The Conservative brain trust chose to release the platform ... after 25% of the electorate already voted in the advance polls.

They must know in their hearts that their platform won't convince remaining swing voters.

People spend a lot of time wondering why the left is worse at using independent media to control the national narrative.

A useful exercise is to ask why the left is also worse at selling snake oil and pyramid schemes, because I think the reasons are basically exactly the same.

Everyone wants there to be a grand scheme behind all of this but the terrible truth is that extremely stupid people are in charge and they have a fanatical devotion to wrong, childlike concepts of society and economics cooked up by right wing radio hosts in order to sell tainted dietary supplements

Fascism is a hyper-nationalist, antisocialist movement. States that called themselves communist are certainly authoritarian. Authoritarian and fascist are not synonyms. Fascism is a right wing, reactionary authoritarian movement.

Fascist socialism is an oxymoron. Socialism is about worker ownership of the means of production. This is simply fascism.
