China’s rise as the world’s clean energy superpower is reshaping global decarbonisation. The full implications are only starting to sink in.

An important new FT piece highlights that while much of the debate has focused on how Europe and the US should respond, the bigger story might be elsewhere.

In America the revolving door is very clear across several arms of Government

And Peter Theil has a finger in most of these pies.

But this is now spreading to Europe.

Including the U.K.

Elon Musk: Grok Imagine prompt: She smiles and says "I will always love you"

I know people think Musk only bought Twitter to help the rise of fascism.

While that’s important, I still think it’s secondary to his primary goal, which was to own the place where his fans praise him.

With AI, Musk’s use of the platform for love and validation is only getting more transparent.

I’m not in the room, so can’t tell who is stiffing who. UK definitely has weaker hand; is entirely to blame for Brexit; still gives mixed signals about EU. But, in today’s geopolitical environment, bad for both sides to let UK-EU relations fracture further. At some stage, finger pointing shd stop.

Europeans recognize Zohran Mamdani’s supposedly radical policies as β€˜normal’ Critics of New York City’s mayor-elect have said his pledges of free bus service and universal childcare are unrealistic, but in Europe it’s a given

This perfectly encapsulates how I feel living in the US. The republican party is an insane death cult, the democratic party is 3 corporations in a trench coat, and the "socialists" are just the completely normal left-wing capitalists you'd find in any of 2 dozen European nations.

One evening Max, next door's cat, pawed at our patio door to be let in. I opened it and he sauntered in looking annoyed, jumped on 'his' chair and curled up to snooze.

Then i realised i could hear an alarm. Looked over the fence. They were out for the day, and their kitchen was on fire.

1. LET ASYLUM SEEKERS WORK

2. FAST TRACK STATUS FOR EVERYONE FROM CLEARLY UNDAFE COUNTRIES like Sudan, Syria, etc

Important, timely, analysis by @lgilbert.co debunking the commonly used line that "migrants are a burden". Shows that migrants are overwhelmingly bet fiscal contributors. Basically, you target migration, you crash the country.

Exactly this. The ECHR is there to protect Britons from their government, and Britons have less constitutional protections that any other state in Western Europe.

This is the last country that should be contemplating leaving.

(And the right should not be turning its back on rights and democracy)
