There’s likely an organized campaign going on to incite you to say stuff that’s gonna get you suspended or banned (or worse). The right has mentioned the Bluesky reaction to this incident repeatedly. They’re here to find targets. Don’t let them rile you up and goad you into something you’ll regret.

This is the line that Dems need to push. It can't be simply. "Political violence is bad" it MUST be "Political violence is bad and Trump and his ilk are responsible for creating conditions ripe for political violence"

The general lesson applies to the Democratic Party: adopting right-wing rhetoric on immigration, trans rights, the homeless, or anything else doesn’t win right-wing votes and reinforces those ideas in the public, resulting in both real gains for authoritarianism and worse results in elections.

And don’t get me wrong, it’s not just this project that needs to be reworked. The second downtown tunnel is a huge waste of money and needs to go. The Ballard line should be automated with smaller stations and shorter trains running more often. Tacoma and Everett need to save billions too.

Ridership estimates for this line are now the same as the buses. It’s capturing the same riders. Models don’t consider TOD but where are the big upzones? This is five times the cost of the downtown Redmond Link extension and I doubt it adds more riders.

10-minutes buses all day would add riders.

But it would make travel times worse for most people. Instead, add a SODO busway ramp for the existing RapidRide buses, increase frequency to 10 minutes for the three main corridors (California/Fauntleroy, 35th, Delridge) and 5 minutes through Avalon, and save $5 billion or more.
