I was exploring my old gaming laptop today, I haven't seriously used it since 2019 as I just threw Folding@home on it and left it on my shelf for nearly 7 years. Lots of old de-synced projects that I'm backing up. Its still a rather capable laptop, not sure what I'm going to do with it tho.

Everything at work broke, spent most of the day ssh'd into my computer at home writing little bash scripts and messing with docker containers.

Same. I used to use mspaint unironically. after switching to linux I needed something that could immediately put pen to canvas because my motivation lasts like 12 seconds.

I guess I'm just fully onboard with Linux now. Like in the past month I've booted into windows once. That was just to play minecraft with my friends... then the bedrock launcher updated like a day later.
I like Vintage story more anyways, and it runs on Linux.

wrote a bash script that uses nmap to scan my network to find my phone. it then uses the IP to connect it to an adb (Android Debug Bridge) server then run scrcpy to mirror the screen so I can control it remotely.

I was jealous of of my mac having friends this feature.

This used to be my exact setup until I got a dedicated desktop. Even got the same wasd keyboard wear. I replaced my headphone muffs with cloth mesh ones, love my sony mdr but fake leather is the worst invention ever.

Yelling into the void of social media has became a lot less rewarding. I want to say its a healthy change but its only left me anxious.

Little kiosk thing at work keeps falsely accusing people of stealing stuff. I started circumventing it by standing just outside of the camera's viewing angle. I noticed a while after I started doing that, it's started switching to a wide mode. Someone somewhere is upset.

Ideally this drive would be ext4 but its the former games and cloud storage drive for windows. I've learned the hard way to keep my valuables away from the OS drive.

Nice. I can just open up my existing steam library on a NTFS formatted drive under Linux without a cataclysmic catastrophe.

I finally installed Linux (Debian 13) on my main desktop.
It was such a painless transition, I should have done this forever ago.

I switch it up every once in a while. Firefox had some major performance issues back in 2009 which made me look for alternatives then I got locked into chrome's ecosystem... for like 16 years.
