The retro pixel art aesthetic in video games is so last year - the new in thing (according to me, so it's legit) is the segmented LCD style, like the early Nintendo Game & Watch handhelds.

I found out about this when I saw a post about "fixing people's accents" - people can't seem to appreciate the effort non-English speakers go to in order to provide content for people who think there's only one spoken language. 🤬

Ah, thank you, this is what I want - the ability to turn it off on MY content, as well as any content that I watch.

I suppose large projects could have a list of regular trusted contributers and any PR from someone not on the list goes into the low priority list. It sucks for first time contributers, but LLM slop is spoiling things for everyone. Or, we give Godot more money to hire more people to work on it. 😃

Listen idiots - if you don't like web components don't use them and move along. If you're a framework author you don't have to support web components if you don't want to; just move along and stop whining about it.

Sadly, that will never happen - when profit is the only motive and funding comes from investors there is zero artistic freedom. Luckily indie game developers have found that sweet spot that appeals to gamers and Steam does an amazing job of supporting the indie market. 😊

Sadly the ST was never available in South Africa (that I know of) - only the classic consoles made it here.

One thing I really like about the Godot game engine is the fact that they simply refuse to add any AI integration bullshit to the core product.

Why did anyone think that South Africans would want to watch it in the first place? 🤣

The Godot engine UI theming is very powerful (and a bit weird) once you get the hang of it. I'm not sure if something like CSS is required for most games though - they usually have fairly simple UI.

And usually getting a huge chunk of free money from your parents, or being a criminal of some kind.

Is there anyone on LinkedIn (other than myself) who isn't using AI to write responses to AI generated posts? All I see is generic slop AI responses to other AI slop. 🤮
