This is maybe the only time I can recall this season where ESPN made sure to block off the times so it can have a full 20+ minutes of pregame coverage of the Duke-UNC game. Everyone else can kick rocks, ESPN will get to your game when it gets to it.

I really despise the way ESPN treats Duke-UNC. Obviously it's the biggest rivalry in the sport, but it's basically the only time the network gets off its ass and puts any effort into hyping a college basketball game. It's insulting!

GCU bussing all those students into Thomas & Mack might've legitimately backfired. Their presence has forced what UNLV fans are there to get into the game, and the shorthanded Rebels are clearly feeding off of that intensity.

Kimani Hamilton is a microcosm of this UNLV team: He's a frustrating watch because he's clearly talented, but something just isn't clicking and he's prone to making poor decisions

Will be interesting to see how his teams fare starting next year when the MWC gets significantly weaker

Pretty cool how ESPN won't shut up about Duke-UNC, but you'd never know the UConn-St. John's game last night even happened if you watched their basketball coverage.

Gibbs-Lawhorn showing out on national television like this is really great to see. Fourteen points already for the best player in UNLV's arsenal. Going to need to lean on him even more than usual today with no Jones or Fleming in the rotation.

Thought it was a bad hire at the time, especially when many pointed to Eric Olen as a good replacement for Kruger. Unfortunately the AD is a football guy, & he seems to treat basketball as an annoyance. Unless the wheels really come off, Pastner is probably the coach for a few more years too. Sad.

Having lived on both Pacific and Eastern time, I can unequivocally say that Pacific is amazing for sports. Nothing beats getting up and showering and firing up 9 screens of college hoops with your morning coffee.
