Good to hear, the shot at Red Tail had me thinking maybe not. I think it will be quite hard to find BiCRS projects that account for all emissions associated with biomass growth, which is why suppliers typically look for waste products.
In any case, congrats on the launch and excited to read more!

Do you have a sense of if Absolute Carbon intends to allow BiCRS projects to be credited under their Standard or not? Unclear from their website and your reporting sort of suggest the answer may be "no".

#6. Noosh (Afghan)
I've never been to Afghanistan (shocking I know!), but the kabuli pulao here tastes just like it does at restaurants in Islamabad, so this place seems authentic to me. Order lamb and get dessert. There's a lot of new Afghani refugees in Lansing, so I hope this place succeeds.

#5. Supermercado La Estrellita (Mexican)
Michigan's abysmal Mexican food is a puzzle to me. Even conditional on demographics it seems subpar. But Supermercado La Estrellita is a bright spot-- great grocery and very good tacos in back. You'd have to drive to GR or AA to find better.

#4 Bridge Street Social (New American)
A bit out of town in Dewitt, so kind of a special occasion place. Really fresh, high-quality ingredients in every dish. Simple, nothing too fancy. Good wine list and bottles are half-off Wednesdays.

#3. Altu's (Ethiopian)
East Lansing Ethiopian with a simple and delicious menu. You can't go wrong with any dish, but don't be afraid to order meat. Sadly, the sambusas were an early victim of covidflation, jumping from $1 to $1.50 in fall of 2020. But they're still worth.

#2. Capitol City Barbecue (BBQ/Vietnamese)
Tiny building used to be a combo BBQ and Boost Mobile store. Then the owner married a Vietnamese woman. They divorced and she kept the restaurant with both cuisines. Order a brisket noodle dish, but add a side of corn bread (the best I've had anywhere).

Thread of my favorite Lansing area restaurants.
#1 Naing Myannmar Family Restaurant (Burmese/Thai)
Easily the best food I've come across in Lansing, but is take-out only and has extremely weird hours (11am-7pm. Why!?!). Tea leaf salad and fried guard are particularly good.
