-Hope for child wellbeing calls for community work in a theory of child wellbeing in the US and policies, politics, conditions for children’s rights (not billionaires and bombs)

Yesterday was my birthday and I spent it delivering thank you cards to those who helped at my brother’s funeral. Taking time to connect supported me in my grief, in remembering him, and allowing myself time to move forward slowly.

Just checked in a citizen of Aotearoa moving to Canada due to 8k layoff of government workers due to new conservative administration. I had no idea they laid people off. Wished him luck and told him to avoid the US too cuz same bro, same.

I’m so sorry. So many locals think Covid is just a flu and don’t even think of the ramifications of long covid. I really worried because my brother was high risk, but now he’s passed and I need to be vigilant now for myself, which will then help others.

I need to be better. I work majority at home so don’t worry til I’m at the airport for work around planes full of people.
