In Shattered Destinies, when a player critical fails (1 on a 6 sided dice), a level of threat is added. This can keep building and the GM can spend the threat to make things harder for the players in social scenes, combat, whenever. It definitely makes it more fun! Check us out :)

Check out our TTRPG stream Starfall using the Shattered Destinies system. The GM sets the scene with various ominous things going on, and what direction they choose is up to the players. The threads they ignore can mean bad things happen down the line too which makes it more fun for everyone.
