It also uses a totally non-standard (and unintuitive) icon for the sun, and an ugly (unbalanced) icon for rain+cloud. By giving an hourly forecast at this range, it misleads regarding accuracy.

The blue/beta version has a more distant location, crams ALL the information in the bottom half of the screen, shows six times, but only up to 10am, obscures what is shown with an unnecessary overlay, and only shows a subset of the info - not useful at all unless I scroll vertically & horizontally.

Here are screenshots from the live and beta versions, from a few days ago, for a forecast two days away. The former distributes the info cleanly and evenly using the whole screen, at my correct location, with all relevant info at six times, across the entire useful day, without me needing to scroll.

Learned a new spring fact from my colleague @rat-face.bsky.social recently. For a critically damped spring tracking a target moving at a constant velocity, the amount of time the spring will lag behind the target is given by "halflife / ln(2)". Rats are lovely. But protesting against films with bad rats is silly. They should just make a film showing how nice they really are.

It's a sample project for a big open world, but one of the nice things is that the assets were created by the community. I wasn't involved, apart from right at the end when took a look to help get some physics working! I believe the project will receive ongoing improvements too.

Not at all. Three abreast requires an extra 2m of road/lane width (assuming cyclists are 1m apart), and can be very hard to find on many roads. Three inline requires you to overtake a formation that is maybe 8m longer - but that is only one second if passing at 15mph faster than the cyclists.
