But this whole issue of why the House has closed down for the past 5 months and why Adelita Grijalva isnβt sworn in yet likely isnβt complicated at all. The answer is likely pretty damn simple: Trump is most likely a pedophile, and Speaker Johnson knows it. Thatβs all.

09.11.2025 04:15 β π 193 π 34 π¬ 5 π 2I will put this on QT to remind everyone that I have repeatedly called Trump a fascist, but rejected the argument that America is now a fascist state.
I suspect people know I've said this, and just keep ignoring it, because the need for drama is greater than the need for precision.
Esme Morgan I feel like whenever someone walks up, you just assume that Aubrey is going to save it. And I think the opposition have that sitting in their minds as well. Obviously a lot of [taking] penalties is psychological, and it's how much belief and confidence you have in yourself. And I feel like when other teams come up against Aubrey, knowing her history and knowing her record, that's going to sort of linger in the back of the mind and cause a little bit of doubt, which is exactly what we want. So, yeah, credit to 'Aubs.' She's done it time and time again, and thankfully she was there for us again today.
Hal Hershfelt I feel so confident with Aubrey in there. I feel like every time we go into a PK shootout, I'm like, 'Hmm, she's got at least two [saves] in her, two or three β like, we're going to be fine.β But, I mean, that's just me. I'm an Aubrey stan through and through. I just feel so good knowing that when we get in those high stakes moments, we have someone like that in our net. I mean, it's the best confidence. Even as a PK kicker, I'm like, βYou know what? I can make this, Aubrey's got my back, it's fine.β
AdriΓ‘n GonzΓ‘lez I think it's amazing, the confidence that she has. Also, what she brings to the team, to the fans, the connection. She gave us a lot last season, and we believe a lot in her potential. It's not just about the ability to save. It's the ability to analyze, to memorize, learn every single opponent, and that's so difficult. And there's a lot of work behind [the scenes], a lot of responsibility also for her. So all the credit on her, because I cannot imagine the pressure that you need to feel when you are there as a keeper. You need to be able to manage that situation, and she shows what she is: one of the best goalkeepers in this league and in this country. And when the moments like that appear, she handles the pressure like that. So it's amazing having her as a goalkeeper. [...] It's obvious. She's so good on that [in penalty shootouts]. Her presence, body language, [you] just need to see her. It's not just about saving. There is a lot of work behind [the scenes]. I don't want to say it here publicly, but we take care of a lot of details. When you go to a shootout like that, you have two options. You can just see what happens, and try to have luck. here's a lot of uncertainty for sure, but you can prepare [for] that and you can have different strategies. And I think we've been doing a great job on that, and also she's really good on that. Especially here playing at home, the connection that she has with our fans is is amazing. So obviously there is an emotional and psychological approach, of course.
Aubrey Kingsbury Yeah, it's mutual. I have confidence in our kickers to make it, and they have confidence in me to save it. I think it feeds into each other when you know, like, alright, Aubrey's going to pull out a save, we've just got to hit ours and we win. And then I know they're going to make it -- I just need one save, and we'll be good. So I think that just kind of breeds confidence, and takes a little bit of the pressure off the kickers, and a little bit of pressure off me, and just helps each other get our job done.
"She shows what she is: one of the best goalkeepers in this league and in this country."
