The contrast between the color of the butterfly and the alfalfa blossoms is beautiful, but I must admit that I’m partial to the rabbit brush picture because the rabbit brush is such a nondescript plant that gets those bright yellow flowers in the fall.

No one has been able to convince them like he has. He has an absurd magic in those little grabbing hands. When they grasp at life no more, this is what I’ll long for. That day.

The lizard is exceptionally scaly, with big thorny chunks of armor, like an armadillo or alligator. The head is pointy with flared bits of armor along the back of the head-line. 'Ouroboros' is from Ancient Greek οὐροβόρος, 'tail-eater'. A symbolic representation of eternity or life & death, a snake swallowing its own tail.
So when I tell you the Armadillo girdled lizard has scientific name 'Ouroborus cataphractus', you can guess something else about it.

Give me a fucking break. I’m a 52 year old gay man. I was a teenager in the late 1980s when the entire world described us as immoral, disgusting, disease carriers. People were arrested for “gross indecency” for kissing in public. Homophobic attacks were routine and somehow I’m not a fucking Nazi.
