Good morning ☀️ Winter ❄️ is coming 🥶

Looking across a pond at the trees on the far shore. The trees have all lost their leaves. The trunks and branches are silhouetted against the clear sky which is shades of oranges and purples and blues from the rising sun. There's a small flock of ducks swimming across the pond near the far shore.

Quiet mornings at the local ponds just as the sun is about ot rise is one of my favorite times for photography.

It’s a local moth app , not sure where that data goes.

They are all released unharmed back into the garden.

Thank you, I’m on a steep learning curve!

They are attracted to a very bright uv light on a box trap, identified and the data collected to monitor spp. and numbers.

A cream and brown coloured moth.

I started moth trapping in August and for a tiny suburban garden I’m amazed what I’ve seen, this is a treble brown spot from early October.
