I was using Figma, but I realized when I went to publish that I had to pay for the subscription to publish, and the prices are not in my budget. I was looking into buying a domain and found some more affordable plans. So I might go fully free in Canva while I figure out which host to use.

Taking this from my Threads, but I started playing around with site building in Canva the other night. Not using any of the ai features. Just free assets and things I've made in the past for old shops. I do like the freedom it gives you to move things around. #sitedesign #authorlife

Even reading through the new first chapter I can already tell I've come a long way. I'm more confident in how I write. I'm not trying to sound like an author, if that makes any sense. I'm proud of myself for being able to come back to this story and do it justice and make it what I knew it could be

Finished the first chapter of the rewrite for my book "the Collectors" the other night. Using the last draft I wrote back in 2023 as a guide. Reading through that last draft makes me proud of how far I've come as a writer. It definitely sounded like I was putting on an author voice in that draft

Since the handle changes, I want to make a quick note that all of my art, unless it's related to my books, will be on the new @chrissytinat.bsky.social handle now that this one is under my pen name and will be focusing on writing and bookish things. #art #artists #digitalartists

I want to keep the platforms where there's traffic and interaction. I feel like, even when I use tags it's become hit or miss on this profile. It feels like things have become stagnant here, and maybe it's a sign I need to let it go.

I'm starting to think I need to cut back on platforms. I've been feeling very spread thin lately. Not even burned out, just not wanting to post because of there being so many places I need to post. I'm thinking I might leave Bluesky. Yeah, I have a following, but it feels like talking to a void

Finished reading "Anatomy of an Alibi" and I loved it, even if I felt the last reveal was a little...underwhelming? The moment I realized in that flashback who was being set up as the killer, I was like "really?" but in a confused way. I still loved the book though. I was hooked from the start.

In other news, got a little work in on the rewrite of my book "The Collectors". I'm working off of the last draft I had printed up to edit. There's some things I changed that I need to fully rewrite and fill in some blanks after scenes were cut, but it's off to a pretty good start. #indieauthor

Update, the second video seems to suddenly be unhidden. The first one though, still not showing up. Unless that changes, yeah, I'm not exactly thrilled with the platform atm. Until it gets the "luxury" accessories selling clogging the feed under control, I'm staying off the fyp for a bit.

3/3 Wouldn't you know, even the second video calling out tiktok for not actually posting the video without even telling me it didn't really go through, that didn't get posted either. Both videos are hidden and I didn't get any reason why. Guess who's staying off the fyp for a bit.

2/3 Well, I made two videos about this, one initially addressing the issue and the other being a second attempt to address the issue after realizing that it didn't actually post the video. It just looked like it posted on my end. I had to check my profile from one of my other accounts to notice

1/3 I know there's stuff happening with tiktok soon, but I noticed an uptick in videos and lives selling "luxury" accessories in almost identical setups in various languages. I hit "not interested" and it shows me more. I block the accounts and it shows me another from that same account. #tiktok

While I rework "Opposing Forces", I'm jumping back into the rewrite of "The Collectors". Read through the bit I started last year and a little of the last draft I had printed up. Caught up on my notes and made a few new notes. Time to really get back to writing. #indieauthor #authorlife #writing
