Volunteer Conductor at Crich Tramway Village (where it seems I spend the majority of my time). Photos taken when not undertaking safety-critical duties and views are my own and not those of any company or charity I work/volunteer for.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Transport (Lilian Greenwood) The electrification of the remainder of the route to Nottingham and Sheffield via Derbythe midland main line electrification programme-is in development, and currently it is planned to be completed by the early 2030s, subject to business case approvals and wider affordability considerations.
"Business case permitting."
Possibly the most stupid, craven set of words that ever get ushered in parliament in relation to infrastructure.
It's securely on my Christmas wishlist!

25.11.2024 22:34 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Fully understandable, I was a bit further out in the east of the county and the rain was relentless, good to see you had a great day!

23.11.2024 21:33 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0No, everyone boarding still has to go past the driver, but is still oyster or contactless tap like the rest of London buses. The idea of using all doors was trialled on the NB4L when they were introduced but they found it was too easy to avoid the fare as the driver often wouldn't check the mirror
22.11.2024 21:20 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Halloween at Crich today! Blackpool 40 was the tram of choice for this spooky special, which absorbed the crowds well. Thanks to my driver Tim, DI Jason and everyone else crewing today for such an excellent day to end the month!
31.10.2024 17:33 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Another day on Blackpool 630 today, and most likely my last. Lovely tram, but a few hiccups due to slippery rail conditions meant we emptied the north sand hoppers on the limit of shunt trip. Thanks to my driver Adam for making for an excellent day!
26.10.2024 17:25 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Another duty at Crich today. Blackpool 630 was the tram of choice today due to its predicted imminent removal from service. A fairly busy day for a Thursday, making it a very enjoyable day. Thanks to my driver Adrian.
24.10.2024 15:43 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 02nd day on the trot at Crich today. 167 was the tram of choice due to the heavy forecasted rain. In the end it was a great day, considering my loathing for the pantograph cars, and we even got to do a turn on the northbound track at Wakebridge. Thanks to my driver Jason for an excellent day!
20.10.2024 18:24 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Another day at Crich today. Glasgow 22 was the tram of choice after a shuffling of crew. Lovely day, with a little bit of rain at the start of the day which then dried up and the sun was shining. Thanks to my driver Dave and also congrats to Andy for passing his DI assessment today!
19.10.2024 19:15 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Had that this morning at Crich, tried to get a fairly powerful tram out with very powerful sanders and it struggled so much moving off, had to get the point iron and clean the track groove out.
19.10.2024 17:15 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Slightly infuriating you can still only post 4 photos at once. Here are the others...
18.10.2024 15:23 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0A few photos from Crich to get myself started on this app as opposed to the other one...
