People are (understandably) desperate to have the danger we're in taken seriously. Unfortunately, it pretty regularly dips into blurring the truth. I get the impulse, but we really do need to reserve that urgency for when that hammer finally falls.

I don’t know if it’s just my circles, but the concern among trans people has felt like high key panic the last couple of days (hi I’m trans people).

Why did it take me this long to realize that queerness is completely absent from Mataphor. The whole game is predicated on “bat and bird person diversity is our strength” and then the gender politics might as well have been written under the Hays Code.

They’re also invaluable tools for understanding and recognition. We cannot afford to give them up because some people respond to that recognition with hatred.

Dems need to realize that we will champion anyone that shows even a modicum of courage and integrity.

We almost never see actively confrontational push back from democrats like this. It’s crazy how starved we are for it.
