As a 25+ year developer, I've had mixed feelings, and mixed results, with AI tooling. But regardless, we are reaching the Ikea phase of software development. This article gives a hopeful yet sober perspective.

I have spent the rest of my life trying to wrap my head around the tension of those two things.

The church I went to in my early 20s completely changed my faith. I fell in love with worship. They truly sought the good of their community. They modeled a truly diverse congregation.

Also, the pastor left his wife for someone in the church, then left the church and tried to take others with him.

Evangelicalism taught me that I needed to be willing to die for Jesus. It also taught me that I should completely ignore his teachings any time they conflicted with conservative values, or aligned with liberal politics.

I believe both an eternal hell and utter annihilation are false and incompatible with the existence of any God worthy of our worship.

But ICE and MAGA are testing my convictions lately.
