There we have it: a brief overview of the England of Gallows Corner. A land where commons clash, nobles oppress, and the Anarchy spreads in the margins, offering freedom and food to those who would see a better world, a different world.

You'll find allies and assistance at every stage of your journey.

From the players around the table with you to the members of the Retinue you will build as you gain in influence and notoriety, England's commons are as keen as you to lift themselves from the mud and bring down the hollow crown.

But you are never alone.

A river of peasants armed with farm tools walk towards a smoking city on the horizon. A gallows and noose are backlit against a setting red sun.

Gallows Corner is an alt-historical TTRPG that takes place in post-plague England.

The year is 1376. This is a shockingly familiar England: a powerful few rule over a powerless many. Wealth is highly concentrated, and there is little opportunity to improve your circumstances.

Yep, I supplemented with books, but Duolingo is just frustrating.

There's a good number of classes here in Manchester, though, so I'm going to get myself signed up when money becomes more accessible!

I was really shocked finding out the news yesterday. My first exposure to him was No Béarla, which I watched alongside my first foray into Duolingo (urgh) Gaeilge, and I found him really compelling.

I need to pull my finger out and get back to learning!

Okay, I'm a little confused. This article is about the singer from the band Disturbed, who is -- I have no hesitation in saying -- a complete piece of shit.

The band I saw last night were Refused, the hardcore band from Sweden.

I can't find any mention of Refused in that article about Disturbed.

Had a dream come true experience yesterday.

I got to see Refused, one of my favourite bands of all time and a huge creative and political influence, play their penultimate ever show.

A phenomenal experience all round!
