Surely this obvious contempt of what was an extremely lenient settlement, would do it. This time the SEC had the goods and the justice system would throw the hammer at multi recidivist Musk, restoring a semblance of integrity to the financial markets…

Of course, Musk immediately breached pretty much every single clause of that settlement except the 20M fine…

…Which musk first rejected at the last minute… but was then forced to take after the SEC published their lawsuit… providing the world with more damning evidence than even shortsellers had imagined

Act they did by offering what was essentially a slap on the wrist kind of settlement to Musk

The SEC, those esteem guardian of financial order had to act… Surely this would put an end to his track of record of reckless lies?
