As a British person, so not 100% sure, but I thought that this is precisely the reason why you have the 2nd. Obviously, I could be wrong, so I'm more than willing to be educated.
And no, I'm not advocating gun violence, but defence against a tyrannical government has to be better that school shooti

It's not debatable. An attack on a sovereign state, especially one considered to be at war, is an act of war.

But let's look at it another way. Russia bombs a US nuclear site, is that to be considered an act of war, or just an "operation "?

I made the mistake of parking on White Moss a few years ago, cost me 11 quid for a little over 3 hours. Never again.

Hmm, isn't an "operation" in this context, a part of an ongoing war? Or even a declaration of war?
Surely attacking a sovereign nation is an act of war, one which can't be prettied up by the use of flowery words such as "operation".

I actually can't wait, one of my great joys in to just stand in the heather surrounded by a giant cloud of jubilant and busy bees!

A wee bit heart in mouth, I went up to see my tree last night. after being so gutted to see it obviously sick last year I've been a bit reluctant to go up there. But here she is, telling me not to worry, that despite being bark-stripped by the deer which often sleep under her, she's doing just fine.

Castle Crag and the rowan. Weather conditions mean this is by no means the finished article, more a scouting image for a future visit.

Yeah, but don't forget, this is coming from the country who shouted (and continue to shout) "commie" at everything that wasn't "conservative" during the witch hunts.

Never owned an apple product and never will. Android for phones and windows for PC have worked and continue to work just fine for my needs. Apple phones macs have always been style over substance afaic.

Bottom of the Quay at the start of the path to Glasson. There was quite a fight for it to finally be awarded town green status. It's far from being a great woodland photography wise, but it's a lovely space. And there's ongoing planting of natives and wildflowers.

There's an incredible show of hawthorn in Freeman's wood in Lancaster, Mike. Branches are being weighed down under the weight of blossom and the scent is almost overwhelming.

Looks like IR but it isn't. An experiment in capturing an essence of spring in black and white. And back to ignoring compositional "rules" In this case, the rule of odds!

Cut them out of your life.
I know that sounds incredibly harsh, but experience should tell us all that talking people out a certain mindsets is incredibly hard and rarely succeeds, they'll just dig their heels in and hurt you more.

Thank you, yes. I've actually photographed this scene many times and you need to be in place at just the right time, it's a narrow window between the sun rising into position and it moving behind the mountain above. This is only ever back-lit early in the morning.

Considering there's been no rain for a couple of weeks, the sudden leap into life has been stunning to watch unfold. And now the oak are coming to join the party, so next week should be interesting too.

What a difference a week makes! I photographed this scene last weekend and I was just a few minutes late for the light. This time I was in place on time and the new leaves were glowing in the morning sun.

β€˜A beautiful outpouring of rage’: did Britain’s biggest ever protest change the world? In February 2003, 1.5 million people protested in London against the looming conflict. They didn’t stop the war… but their legacy still looms large

We managed this in mid winter. Many other towns and cities saw massive demos on the same day.
Honestly, I think the turnout for Sanders and Harris was fantastic. But after 4 months, this should be huge and happening almost constantly.

This is great and all, but 35k is an average premier league football attendance every single Saturday during the season here in the UK. It's just 1.2% of the city's population. Your uprising is going to need to be much much bigger.
