Painting shows a marina off the land of Coronado Peninsula near San Diego. The sandy beach is in the forefront, and many expensive yachts float on calm waters. The background are of the hills of San Diego, dotted with the lights of many large homes. A pink and yellow dusky sky is being encroached by the stormy weather approaching.

18”x24” acrylic on canvas board that I painted after a stay in Coronado, near San Diego. Marinas abound, and the boats floated, idle in the tide. They seemed to saying, “please! hop in, unleash me!and let me make my way out of here to the sunny open seas”.

My Mom/Dad let me stay up late at times, also to watch all the variety shows like Tom Jones The Ed Sullivan Show, Andy Williams, etc. Mom would play albums of Vanilla Fudge, Moody Blues & similar. You brought back my memory of this song before the Temptations covered it. I never saw VF perform -😎😎!
