ICE left David, a 17-year-old boy, stranded on the side of Interstate 20 after pulling over his immigrant father, Hector, in Mississippi.

David began running in the scorching sun after the car and watched as it disappeared from sight—soon headed to a Louisiana ICE prison.

My response to the news is to look these people up on Wikipedia in an effort to better understand how they became so awful.

The Sora AI thing is proof of something very important: The technology itself is useless without the ability to use the likenesses of real, living, unpredictable people, and the art they create. And the only way to get those likenesses or that art is to summarily steal it.

I don’t talk about this publicly, but hegseth drives me out of my silence.

I attended West Point from 1998-2000. I left, along with about 5 other young women, as a direct result of the military’s then-shameful (non) policies addressing sex harassment and assault.

Judging by their speeches, neither Trump nor Hegseth has paid the slightest attention to how actual wars are being fought in the actual world. The “war fighting” and “lethality” they plan is inside their own country and comes from conflicts inside their own minds.

Portland is not "war ravaged." This is delusional and dangerous.

Sending troops into American cities doesn't make our communities safer — it just stokes fear and stirs up chaos.

Trump is plunging further into authoritarianism every single day.

Taken just a few minutes ago outside the ICE facility in Portland that Trump claims is under siege. My message to Donald Trump is this: we don’t need you here. Stay the hell out of our city.

Really important to internalize that the president of the United States is ordering troops into major population centers precisely to create violent confrontations, for the sole purpose of intimidating, criminalizing and disabling opposition

Military service is about courage and sacrifice. That’s what my father, a Marine, and my mother, a Navy veteran, taught me.
