Sometimes, no matter how hard you try, you can't save a patient. Despite our continued care and attention, they slip away.
Sometimes, it's harder than others. This was a hard one.

If all the nonsense happening in American politics wasn't enough, we had a lot of difficult patients and sad cases in the vet hospital. It was rough on everybody, and everyone has been feeling defeated. (Cont.)

Trying to find motivation to study today, but the brain isn't cooperating. Instead, let me share my most recently finished #coloredpencil #drawing. I found the reference on Pinterest and unfortunately Google Lens isn't helping me find the original photographer. Polychromos on Canton bristol vellum.

We had a bad storm a couple years ago. I suspect that's what toppled this tree.

We took advantage of the warm up (31 degrees F) and took the dogs to the woods this morning. Scarlett is never happier than when running through the trees. #labrador #dogs

When creating your art, do you work on the background or the main subject first? I like to do the background first and"save the best for last". #drawing #coloredpencils

WW Whack Attack raced at two different greyhound tracks from January 2023 to April 2024. Racing hounds live at the track full time in kennel banks. Now he lives in a nice house with blankets, couches, and a mountain of toys. Happy retirement, Whack!

I've used both Bristol and mixed media and have been preferring Bristol. Glad to have confirmation!
