The header of my itch.io page, ranking the vibes of my games. Left to right, from good vibrations to horrible fucking vibes; To Crime Nirvana, Fishing Minigame 1 and 2 (2 had worse vibes, I Hate You Please Suffer, Hand of the Goddess, Decay, Slimes
Screenshot of I Hate You, Please Suffer taken from Curate of the Curious. This depicts the Necromancy Investigation quest. “So, these particular thieves are the Lonely Hearts. They’re some religious grief counseling group that turned to this more widescale cult in the last few years.”
Text from my review of UFO 50’s Party House. “I’ll be real with you: I swear that the wild buddies are hardcoded to show up together. There were multiple situations where I had two wild buddies in a row and think “there’s no way a third one will show up” like a naive fool, and lo and fucking behold, the vibes are ruined. I had one instance where two showed up and had a spy check the door to see a third wild buddy. I gave the wild buddy the boot, invited the next guest in, and you don’t understand how I felt when it was the fourth wild buddy. None of the other trouble making guests gave me as much trouble as this gang of shitheads. ACAB… but maybe the police can keep the wild buddies I hand them in jail for a little bit longer.”
Text from my review of QUESTER: “You got a nice array of guys to play around with, and while equipment can be interchangeable, they all have skills to carve out their own niches. Dob-Rock the Buddhist had been a general mainstay because he has a group healing skill out of the gate, while I’m impartial to Ekko the Officer because of her passive skillset that makes her kinda nutty with bladed weapons. You’ll occasionally get new crew members at new base camps, and while that does raise your food costs, well, that’s just the price of friendship.”
a pinned intro-
Good vibrations, everyone. I am a game developer under the handle scitydreamer, and I mainly make RPG Maker games about miserable people.
I also run a site called Indie Hell Zone that’s primarily me blogging about indie games.
