As a historical artifact, I think it would be nice to keep the Kex version preserved. But as a product, I don't think you really need both.

That's great to hear. Marrow feels like it came straight from the 1990s, IMO. It feels closer to the original than Cryptic Passage. At least in part because you can't avoid taking damage in spots.
