Thank you! :D There's definitely a type of melody I like to write that's all over my work. It's restricting in a way, but on the other hand it's also nice to have a recognisable style.

I'm very proud of the Cloudheim soundtrack - I put something of myself into every composition, so that it resonates emotionally with the audience to deepen their connection with the game.
As this is the theme song for the region, I wanted to tell a story about a rugged and tragic, but starkly beautiful environment.
To make the track emotive without it becoming overpowering, I decided to make a slow-burn - slow tempo, long melodic lines, and gradual moments of tension & release.
For Cloudheim's desert region Dustlangr, I went for a wistful yet gently driven track, with a lead role for Spanish Guitar. This is a fragment of the full 5-minute track.
I strive for compositions to not just fit, but also *elevate* the game scene.

This year in gaming has been nuts on Switch 2. First, DK Bananza was the best 3D Platformer since Galaxy. Then Silksong somehow managed to be of similar quality as Hollow Knight. And we're still getting Prime 4...!!

For Guild Saga: Vanished Worlds, I went for a wistful and mellow take on my usual earworminess. "Resting Area" features just whistle, women's choir and harp. As this is a Western pixel art RPG with Japanese influences, it's been a cool exercise to straddle that line musically!

Mario Kart World's superpower is being able to turn tracks I never really cared about into complete and utter bangers. So I had to honour that by arranging their version of Wii's Rainbow Road for piano, with customary added nonsense! :D
