Yes-wit, pls! I think a Mar-wit would be a first for Western Palearctic, so a proper mega. The Hud-wit here was only an hour away while we were away on holiday down that way, but I resisted the urge to twitch it as the local birding at our off-grid eco cabin was sooo good!

Delighted to see my first Swifts of the year today at KGV, but also a premium line up of Northern Wheatears (1f + 3m) on passage. Arctic tern, Little gull, Lesser whitethroat, Little ringed plover, Green sandpiper & Red-crested pochard joined the supporting cast. #LondonBirds #BirdMigration

Guided another lovely group of budding birders at Brent Reservoir today courtesy of CRT. Some of the best birds were before/after the walk, but nevertheless great views of courting Goldcrests, lingering Snipe plus patch FOY's for both Little ringed plover and Common whitethroat. #LondonBirds

Early start with @ionace.bsky.social and Sam L. and we hoped for migrants but we didn't expect to have 100+ Mediterranean Gulls mee-ow'ing over Rainham Marshes today. The largest flock was 35 (at least). Also a Barn Owl in a barney (😱!) with a Carrion Crow. #LondonBirds 😎
