ICE is not some far away boogeyman. They are here right now, spreading fear in our community. We’re so grateful to our entire staff and their bravery. They did the right things and couldn’t have dealt with this situation in a better way. We are grateful to our community activists that came to support us from @miracmn @litosonlake and Monarcha. Tuesday was one of those days where I woke up early to work before heading to work, then worked all day with very few breaks and then came home to do....yep, more work. Teaching, class prep, grading, meetings, putting out fires, talking to students, emails, just a relentless…

It was a rejection of the entire administration and Dems should see this as a signal to become an actual opposition party. On everything. You don't stop the shutdown. You don't approve another appointee. You do nothing at all. The voters saved you, not the other way around. LEARN TO LEAD.
