Mayday. Mayday. Mayday. This is We the People, We the People, We the People. Mayday. We are under attack by a fascist president. Mayday. I say again, we are under attack from a fascist president. Mayday. Send all available resources to Washington DC. Rally on May Day. This is We the People. Mayday.

The administration is politicizing the United States Coast Guard. They will name a Secretary of the Coast Guard, a positing that doesn't currently exist. They plan to also fire all career Senior Executive Service staff and replace with political appointees.

With all the shenanigans impending, it's a good time to not be a federal civil servant. My former colleagues are all about to get the fid sans lubrication. Unpleasant it will be. Here's hoping fascism dies a quick death.

Don't worry. He'll surround himself with the smartest people and only obey lawful orders from the Commander in Chief.

The Second Phase of the Fascist Invasion Has Begun It's time to change how we think of the way fascists are winning. And, as a result, how we can fight back.

Were I still a fed, I'd be worried about my job. The incoming president will decimate the ranks of civil servants. There no more be apolitical bureaucrats. Every civil servant will need to swear loyalty to the guy in the Oval Office: be gone Constitution!

My grandmother, Martha McDonald, died this morning. She was 93. She spent a good deal of her adult life sharecropping tobacco in NC. A widow by 30, my grandmother raised 12 children on her own, wearing bags on her feet so all her kids could have shoes.

She was an American hero. I love her dearly.🖤
