The influence of Buster Keaton's most famous stunt
11.01.2025 00:04 β π 248 π 85 π¬ 7 π 9Nosferatu is startling in its cinematography and its content. A remake of F.W Murnauβs 1922 film, it leans away from the expressionism the original has, but itβs beautifully directed and great performances all around. I dislike the inclusion of jump scares, however.
28.12.2024 02:08 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Itβs not been a great year for film. I think that goes without saying. Madame Web is an example of throwing literally anything at the wall and hoping it sticks. Shot miserably, edited through a wood chipper, and worse dubbing than a Franco Nero western, rarely have I seen a film this poor
28.12.2024 02:08 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Talking Heads asks two questions: who are you and what do you want in life? Makes you think deeply about what you really want in life and how priorities change with age.
28.12.2024 02:08 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0What can be said about True Romance that hasnβt been said? Tarantino and Avaryβs script covers itself in a beautiful sense of style while Tony Scottβs direction perfectly puts the words into scene. It makes me wonder if Tarantino wrote more for Tony Scott.

The Boxer delivers quick hits of action and simmering drama while being extremely well edited and shot. Rocky is the obvious comparison, but the anime Ashita no Joe is a better example. Easily digestible, but enough flavor to make it enjoyable
21.12.2024 00:16 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Rodeo is a short film by Carroll Ballard, who would direct The Black Stallion 10 years later. Short, stressful, and wonderfully energetic.
21.12.2024 00:16 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The Sea Wolf, based on the Jack London novel, doesnβt follow the story perfectly, but bolstered by Edward G Robinsonβs outstanding performance, it serves as an exceptional character drama.
21.12.2024 00:16 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The Thirsty Dead is a terrible, boring, disinteresting movie whose B movie charm wears off quickly once you realize the plot goes nowhere.

What an unbelievable group of people to be working on a superhero project
