Apologies for any worry caused the other day. My sobriety slipped. I’m not proud of it. Several shocks to the system at once sent me looking for comfort, and I found it in a bottle of bourbon. I’m doing my best to make sure that doesn’t happen again.

I am no victim. I have retaliated. But I have done my best to end those behaviors. If I have to end the project I love to make all of this stop, I am willing to do it. Just please leave me alone.

My unlisted address has been compromised and spread throughout a community dead set in turning me into a villain instead of seeing a flawed human being in a great deal of pain.

After this recent bought of harassment, I am considering abandoning my podcast projects, including Regina Prime. My mental health cannot take the amount of hateful, vicious attacks any more.

The person in question stalked MY personal instagram account. I saw proof of them viewing my stories. I posted a screen shot of that proof, which including their government name because THEY included their government name in their account.

My account has been set to “private” ever since.

A month and a half of indie voice acting. Nearly 700 followers and $1500 in the bank.

I never needed the #audiodrama community to be successful.

I know how to act. I know how to write. I do not pander. I don’t need to kiss ass, especially entitled male ass, in order to get attention.

The fact that there are male creators recommending other male created shows on this list is just plain gross.

Female led means female created. Stop acting like you’re doing women a favor by writing your lead character as a woman through a male lens.

My audience has excellent taste.

I don’t care how big my audience is. I care that they are the exact right people for the story I want to tell.

Where are your female run shows? Why are 75% of your rosters male run shows?

Society does nothing so well as gaslighting women. Every day, we’re bombarded with things were guilted for not speaking out about. But the moment we do speak out, we’re bombarded with the message that our opinions aren’t wanted.

Life is already cruel. You don’t need to be.

Denying a woman’s truth in the interest of keeping a man’s peace…

Not seeking justice for the damage done by a man in the interest of using that man’s inherent privilege for your own good…

Punishing a woman for the same actions a man took against her without punishing him too…

It’s all abuse.

For those that have followed me since Echoes, Brian was the voice of the final caller, & he nearly played Dr. Thorne.

He would never say no to helping a friend, & he never expected anything in return. He was a talented writer & actor in his own right, & I wish I could work with him one more time.

I just found out that one of my closest friends passed away. It hasn’t quite sunk in yet.

Hug your friends. Mend your fences. Tell people you love them. You never know when that last hug will be.

I’m going to miss you so much, Brian. You were a mentor, a drinking buddy, and a beautiful person.

Despite the cruelty shown towards me, I am trying to be better. The same cannot be said for my harassers, who continue to mock and snicker from the shadows.

The problem with having a competitive mindset when it comes to art is that people who know how to game the system & exploit their privilege think those things are the same as talent & dedication to a craft.

Wooow. You know how to market & network. Your thing still sucks, so… good for you, I guess.

You don’t need awards or fake reviews to succeed at this. You don’t need fake friends who pretend to like your show just so you’ll promote theirs. I get so much authentic, amazing listener feedback from people genuinely enjoying my work. Nothing beats that feeling, and no one can take it away.

A big thank you for 1800+ followers on Spotify! My numbers are minuscule compared to a lot of #audiodrama podcasts, but the fact that I’ve self produced two successful seasons and promoted them without the help of a network or the bigger audio drama community means I get to savor every tiny bit.

My therapist put me onto cyberstalking laws in the state where my main harasser lives as a possible deterrent. If anyone is familiar with these laws and how they are enforced, please contact me.

I especially cannot keep a friend who chooses the peace of men over justice for a fellow woman.

I know you’re still keeping tabs on me. I’m hurt. I know you are too. But everything I’ve seen only confirms my suspicions about you & your motives. Do what you need to do for your own peace.

Is it fair to keep a friend who doesn’t defend you against lies in public? Who doesn’t give you their honest opinion in private? Who publicly associates with people who hurt you while keeping their association with you a secret?

It hurts, but I cannot keep a friend who does such things.

My show is my reel, and it speaks for itself. Despite the harassment I’ve received from #audiodrama creators, I do know what I’m doing in front of a microphone. I wanted to help others up their indie voice actor game, but I was roundly told I wasn’t allowed to.
