17.11.2024 12:57 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I made a systems neuroscience starter pack, focused on experimentalists who study the brain at the level of populations of neurons!
Also want to be on the list? Reply or DM me a picture of your ephys rig or 2p setup and I'll add you π€

It's been a joy to work with the amazing team that made this possible. This technology is already allowing us to study the brain during more natural behavior, and we can't wait to see what the neuro community does with this.
11.11.2024 17:34 β π 44 π 12 π¬ 2 π 1This does seem quite bad, especially for trainees and people new to specific fields.

05.10.2024 14:44 β π 11 π 6 π¬ 0 π 0Very much did not intend that as negative! Imo the MRI field managed to solve many of the issues we face in systems neuro.
08.12.2023 20:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0MRI is also a great success story of providing access to technical expertise, support, and amazing standardized analysis pipelines. Imo we can learn from this in other areas. Of course boundary pushing work (and analysis/stats) always requires depth on understanding how the sausage is made!
08.12.2023 20:28 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I was debating whether that was a good example or not. I agree with what you're saying, the major point I wanted to make was that there's a huge amount of complexity that's been packaged into a machine that a well trained non expert can use. This is not the case in many systems neuro experiments.
