yesterday, I caught the cat watching women’s hockey.

It’s stupid. Stories need endings. Stories need stakes. I keep remembering an article about AI I read where an exec said people could have stories with their fave characters go on forever—but that’s not how GOOD story works. Eventually you have to END it.

I dunno to me the whole thing felt like Netflix going “we don’t know what spin off we may want from this so don’t tie any bows TOO tight.”

boy did those Stranger Things episodes have the stink of Netflix executives protecting the future of their IP on it. Mortal danger with no stakes. Whole monologues that lead nowhere and said nothing.

Just had to explain to my mom the photos she was sending me that she “found on Facebook” of fun products were definitely AI.
