Shows that end on cliffhangers are so maddening. I checked out the book ages ago and IIRC it's pretty different from the show. Still maybe worth a look though.

I loved that show. It had some rough bits, but overall it was a great example of setting things up and paying them off at the end of the season.

The slow-sit felt like: "He's gesturing at me, is this what he means?" uncertainty, which could be tied to autistic challenges with non-verbal communication. It was amusing either way, though, you're right.

It annoys me too. Not only does it steal engagement, it also makes it harder to authenticate the true source of something. It's trivially easy to fake a screenshot. I can understand screenshotting to preserve the record or whatever, but at least have a link.

Terra Nova was cool, despite its short run. Earth 2 had a similar vibe IMHO. Community + survival in a hostile/alien environment + some faction/conspiracy stuff on the side. Wasn't streaming last time I checked, unfortunately.
