In a busy office hallway, diverse staff surround a stressed man in a suit. Above each person are speech bubbles with various requests and complaints directed at the man. Requests include reviewing referrals, addressing children’s behavior, dealing with a flooding toilet, signing off risk assessments, and reading a development plan. Someone mentions Mrs. Jackson complaining about uniforms. Another person needs an accountability report with data on various topics. A clock reads 15:36 behind them. The man in the suit appears overwhelmed, responding he has an important meeting to attend. The scene is vibrant, depicting a hectic work environment with people multitasking and tasked with numerous responsibilities. A pot plant and educational posters are visible, emphasizing an educational setting.

Think it depended on my mood and levels of tiredness how I reacted to answers like these. Now I’ve finished - they’re definitely funny and heartwarming. 😂

Happens a lot. Don’t think anyone really likes it, but it has been reluctantly ‘accepted’ if not ‘acceptable’ due to huge budget pressures and the challenges of accommodating part-time working.

How often do we actually consider how many learning objectives, targets, success criteria etc children are given each day/week?
Can anyone remember the exact nature of all the staff meetings and training they’ve received each school year?

I find the lazy habit of politicians finding out what pisses off the professionals and then branding it as ‘reform’ really upsetting. #edusky #eduskyprimary

A conference room cartoon shows a person facing a window with multiple reflections. Each reflection, resembling the person, points outward and has speech bubbles: “Inspirational vision!”, “Excellent communication!”, “Outstanding listener!”, and “Brilliant self-awareness!” Above the window, there’s a logo reading “Pinnacle Rock Academy Trust” with a mountain and a small plane. A digital clock reads 15:36. The person inside the room says, “Who says I’m not reflective?” Nearby, there are bookshelves labeled with “Curriculum,” “Ofsted,” “Risk Register,” “Equality Plan,” “GEMS,” and “Admissions.” A table and an empty chair are visible, and a computer sits on a desk. The humorous scene highlights themes of self-reflection and self-praise in a workplace setting.

In my experience, rules are certainly in place and appropriate sanctions used, but some children benefit from therapies to help them comply with rules and communicate more effectively. It shouldn’t be blanket either/or.

A cartoon scene in an office shows two people at a table with coffee cups. The room has filing shelves, trophies, a clock showing 15:36, windows, and a wall-mounted screen. A dog lies on the floor with a ball. A newspaper on the wall features a headline, “Superhead Brought In,” with a man’s photo.
Speech bubbles come from the characters:
Left character: “Mr Sharp, just to check we are on the same page, can I run a few things by you to see what you understand them to mean?”
Right character responds to terms:
• “Accountability”: “Counting ability!”
• “Interleaving”: “People wanting to quit?”
• “Self-regulation”: “Healthy eating?”
• “Retrieval practice”: “Easy…that’s one for Jedi here and a ball.”
• “Cognitive load”: “Hmm…is that a physics term?”
• “Metacognition”: “You meet an education guru?”
• “Okay…Let’s return to SEND…er?” with “Address unknown!!!”
This is why Mr Sharp is never left in meetings on his own. 😬

A cartoon scene in a school assembly hall shows a teacher giving an award to a student named Dylan. The teacher acknowledges Dylan’s bravery after being bitten by a dog. Curious, the teacher asks Dylan where he was bitten. Dylan responds, “In me garden.” Clarifying, the teacher asks where on Dylan’s body, to which Dylan humorously replies, “On me nuts.” The teacher, amused yet awkward, says, “I did ask… Okay, well done Dylan!” The assembled audience, consisting of students and teachers, smile and laugh. One teacher comments lightheartedly, “One minute you’re down, the next you’re right back up again!” A dog lies peacefully on the floor nearby. The wall features motivational words, “Aspirational” and “Determined.” The light-hearted atmosphere highlights the amusing misunderstanding.

A school corridor scene with students and teachers depicted as a cartoon. Students wear blue sweaters and grey pants or skirts. A girl raises her hand, and a boy leans against the wall holding a pink object. One student comments, “Mr Sharp’s shoes are much shinier than yours!” to a male teacher in a grey shirt and brown pants whose text bubble reads, “I don’t like…what do you mean not as smart?” Another student says, “Mr Birkett? Why don’t you wear a tie? You’re not as smart as Mr Sharp!” The teacher thinks, “That’s because he gets everyone to lick them for him!” The walls display the words, “We will be: Bolder,” alongside a rainbow and mountain logo. A “caution wet floor” sign is visible.

In a brightly lit office, two people are seated across a table having a conversation. A woman in a gray suit asks, “Mr Sharp, turning to vision, what are your school’s values?” The man, wearing a vest and tie, responds, “Well…we might be able to get half a million for the playing field…oh, and the devices around school are very expensive!” The woman continues, “Not that kind of…” The walls are adorned with shelves filled with colorful files labeled with words like “Ofsted,” “Budget,” and “SATS.” Trophies are displayed on top. A bulletin board with papers and a patterned chart is on the wall. A yellow dog plays with a green ball on the floor. A coffee maker and cups are on a side cabinet.

In a school assembly hall, a teacher addresses students seated in rows of blue chairs. A sign on the wall reads, “We will be: Bolder, Aspirational, Determined.” Speech bubbles convey students’ humorous interpretations of the words. One student asks, “It means we will be BAD?” Another inquires, “A pinnacle looks like ‘a spire’?” while others mention “boulders on a mountain” and confusing “deter” with stopping someone from coming. A sleeping dog in the foreground has a thought bubble showing a fan blowing at a poop emoji. A teacher in a pink top sits nearby with arms crossed.

The image is a comic-style illustration set in front of a school or academy building, labeled as “Pinnacle Academy Trust.” Four people are present, discussing an incident involving a cat. A man in a suit questions another man in casual workwear, recounting how a cat was run over outside the gates, scooped up with a snow shovel, and discarded in the general waste bin. The second man explains that a parent saw him disposing of the cat and asked questions. Two women, standing near a large refuse bin labeled “We do Refuse,” interject, suggesting the cat should have been taken to a vet or shelter to check for identification and disposed of hygienically. A box labeled “Cat Shelter” is visible near them.

In a cartoon-style image, two men stand beside a gray Mercedes with the license plate “BDC URU” in a nearly empty parking lot. The man on the left, in a suit with a lanyard, says, “It’s like the Mary Celeste out here! Where is everyone?” The other man, wearing a blue uniform, replies, “They’ve gone for drinks for Mr Birkett’s birthday!” The suited man responds, “Oh…oh yes, I remember now, sadly I can’t make it…” The man in the uniform thinks, “Oh yeah?…” The surroundings include a blue fence, greenery, and a cloudy sky. An electric vehicle charging station is visible near the car.
The Head Teacher might not be as bulletproof as they appear? 😞
