people give a lot more good faith to weird-looking indie comics than they do to weird-looking kids’ comics. there is an assumption of skill & intentionality when the comic has grownup themes. my hot take is that i think this is annoying sometimes

what better way to experiment with process stuff than to play with original characters...!! they are from a story that i would VERY much like to draw if i can wrangle it into a format that isn't "single four hundred page middle grade graphic novel"
